Recently, I realized just what a creative and awesome person I am. A couple of days ago my son in law asked me a simple question, "Where'd you get that table." Now a simple uncreative non-awesome person would have just answered the question. But that's not who I am. I am different. I walk to the beat of a different drummer. I sing a tune unfamiliar to most. So I told him how Ava, my grand daughter, and I liked to play games on the table and how the table opened up to store special trinkets in and I even told him how I broke the top of the table. And.....he eventually walked away. My daughter, Allison, looked at me and said, "He just asked where you got the table."
I am certain that those people blessed by my unique inability to "just" answer a question can tell you what a pleasure it is to live with me. They can tell you rather than the information that they would like to have, they get Tracy's random thoughts of the moment.
So I just thought that you'd like to know that if you dare to ask me a question, it is quite possible that you will more than likely hear a story instead.

Oh you are funny! I like you
ReplyDeleteSo... where did you get the table?
ReplyDeleteRight after you told me this story, I asked you when the Green Township Trustee meeting would be on tv. You then berated me for possibly not taking Scott to the meeting live and perhaps letting him watch it on tv instead. Later in the day, I said to Ron, "Tracy never did tell me when that meeting was going to be on TV." So, um, yeah.
ReplyDelete@annie -- she got it a garage sale. THAT answer I got. Too bad I didn't ask that question.
OH -- You posted your first post!! Yay!!
ReplyDeleteI love your story answers!.
